Destination Wedding photography is a passion of mine. I believe that the best moments of our life are the unplanned, the raw and the genuine. Because of this, I’m not interested in photographing people in generic poses with fake smiles. I want to reach so far beyond that.

I’m all about capturing who you truly are and how you feel in a moment. Your adventure, no matter how big or small, is worth documenting. It deserves to be relived for decades to come.

I’ve had the privilege of photographing weddings in some of the most stunning locations around the world and in particular across the African continent.

This year I am excited for my upcoming weddings in Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya and Malawi! I’ve also photographed in Angola, Mozambique and Namibia. My passport is ready for anywhere in Africa. I adore traditional African Weddings, the colours, the culture and the joyous people.

In KZN the Midlands Meander gives the stunning green and lush backdrop with a small town farm theme.
In Durban at Princes Grant, close to Ballito, I’ve photographed a couple between the KZN sugar canes and on the empty beaches of the North Coast.
Clarence in the Eastern Free State gave a beautiful autumn backdrop of colours bringing the landscape of mountains and sunflower fields together.

How do I choose a destination wedding photographer?

It is so important to find the right photographer for your wedding day. You will be spending the most part of your day with them. So I encourage you to set up a coffee meeting or a video call to get acquainted with your photographer before you book. I offer this service free of charge. Look at different styles of photography and decide for yourself if you like how they photograph and are drawn to the editing’s style of colour grading. The options are endless and it might feel like an impossible task to choose, but I promise the right photographer is there for you.

I’ve photographed well over 200 weddings and I’ve been running my own photography business for 13 years, but I actually started taking portraits when I was 17 (and that was in 2001!!) With 22 years of experience of seeing the light, knowing how to direct, compose and guide people, I can say with confidence that I will get the shot and provide you with the images you will fall in love with.

I’ve traveled to 4 African countries (Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, Namibia and Mozambique) to photograph international destination weddings. In South Africa I’ve lost count, but it’s probably over more than 50 weddings in every possible beautiful venue our country has.

I shoot with a Fuji mirrorless camera and the best prime lenses. My photography equipment kit might look small and unassuming, but it makes me mobile and I’m an expert at being in stealth mode to capture unique moments that you might not even notice on the day. I love that my camera is small and made to look like a film camera from the 1970’s. That’s in fact what I learned on when I started to take photos.

For destination weddings further than 200km from Johannesburg I offer a custom all inclusive rate for travel and accommodation. Here are my pricing and packages to get an idea of what I charge.

Within the first week after your wedding I will provide you with an online folder to download low res and high res images of all the family portraits and some of the best highlights of your day. So you won’t have to worry about your family constantly nagging you for photos. My turnaround time for wedding photos is typically around 10 weeks for the full album. This is also subject to the wedding season and workload, but don’t worry I’ll be in touch to keep you posted.

After I deliver your images I can connect you with my preferred suppliers to design your wedding album and printers for framed photos and enlargements of your beautiful memories.
