I think I fall in love a little bit with anybody that shows me their soul.
Lauren is one of those people with a beauty that is so captivating and her gentle and caring soul radiates throughout. She lives in the middle of Johannesburg. Normally when I think of Johannesburg I think cars, people, pollution, busy streets, noise and danger that lurks around the corner. To be very honest beauty, freedom, space, creativity and opportunities never really made it to my list of this city’s associations. Lauren opened my eyes to a new world, a beautiful view, an enchanting place in the middle of a bustling hub of interesting people.
She shared some fascinating stories of her life, like how she is passionate about teaching ballet to the local children in her area. She showed me what a sunset looks like from the rooftop of her building and it was different, creatively inspiring and absolutely exhilarating! I loved the entire experience, including the train ride from Rosebank to Park Station to meet her. This urban adventure was the first of what I hope will be many more.
Inside us all, patiently waiting, sits a tiny little adventurous bird.
