An urban love story of two Frenchies living in Johannesburg. They love the city and the Johannesburg city skyline was the perfect backdrop. We met at sunrise on the rooftop of the brand new wedding venue The Emkhathini. Mélanie and Morgan have been living in Johannesburg for almost 3 years and as they are set to return to Paris, they wanted to celebrate their time in this wonderful city with some portraits of them. We took the time to also go to the corner for Fox & Rissik street to take some photos at the zebra mural of artist Faith47. The name of this mural is Una Salus Victis Nullam Sperare Salutem and this latin phrase translates to “The only hope for the doomed, is no hope at all.” This powerful art work makes this a unique piece in our city and a popular place for portraits.
A morning with new friends in the city, laughter and a bit of practise for my limited french vocabulary is my kind of adventure!
